Valencia was a difficult round for me because we struggled with the rear tyre all weekend and it was just me and one other rider running the new Pirelli 200. The tyre was really difficult to ride with because there was just no grip on the rear. I qualified 24th out of 31 rider which I was upset about because I knew it wasn't me. In the race I got an ok start and was in about 22nd and moving through the field but after about 9 laps the tyre gave up on me and I had to come in and DNF'd the race which was disappointing. Overall not the best weekend but the track was brilliant would love to race there again.
Jerez was a good round for me because we managed to get hold of some Pirelli 190s which we had used all year and I was really on the pace in practise. Saturday it was raining during qualifying and I managed 14th in qualifying which was good considering I hadn't rode the Honda in the wet ever. Race day it was wet again and we had pirelli wets but only the harder compound so I knew they would take a few more laps to work in the wet than the Michelins or Dunlops. I got a bad start but the race was red flagged after a crash on the start line so I got another opportunity in the restart which I started alot better. After 5 laps the tyre got really good and I was on the pace and moving through the pack but the race was cut short to 9 laps so I finished 12th overall which I was please with because I managed some points in the championship. Overall I good two weeks in Spain and I good load of experience on the 1000s looking forward to next year. Sammy #90 I'd just like to Thank QPGS Racing for a brilliant year in the CEV its been tough as it was my first year on a 1000cc but it lots of fun with highs and lows
