2009 Thundersport GB - Junior Powerbike Championship

Sam has gained 19 podiums including 4 race wins and 2 Pole positions, finishing 2nd in the Championship (despite missing the first round due to injury).

Here you will find the lastest news and results of Sam's fortunes as he competes this season in the Metzeler 600 Superstock class, stepping up from the Junior Powerbike Class he competed in last year with Club Thundersport GB – see the rider profile page for Sam's full race history.

After 2 successful test with new team Gearlink Kawasaki, Sam was selected to ride for them in the Metzeler Superstock 600 National Championship for 2010.

He went to the Kawasaki test with Gearlink on 8th February 2010 at Calafat circuit, Spain, which unfortuately was cut short due to heavy rain in the afternoon. But Sam got plenty of laps and was soon getting to grips with the new 2010 Kawasaki ZX6R that Gearlink has prepared for the coming season. The next official BSB test is at Brands Hatch on the 17 March 2010.

The National Superstock 600 is an extremely competitive class with up to 50 riders competing for approximatley 36 grid slots and 2010 is a learning year for Sam. His main aim is to qualify for each race, and progress into the points as soon as possible.
